The Gateway

Step through the portal into worlds crafted with words, where every line is a journey.

Her skin, the colour of the richest milk chocolate,
Inviting lips, eyes dark as night,
A stunning beauty that had me beguiled,
All I could do was gaze at her, lost in her sight.

I couldn’t stop thinking about her,
Her presence lingered long after she was gone,
In my mind, her image was a constant blur,
My heart beating fast, my senses withdrawn.

I longed to touch her, to feel her skin,
To taste her lips, to drown in her eyes,
To let all of my desires and passions win,
And be lost in her embrace, under the starry skies.

But I knew that was just a fantasy,
A dream that would never come true,
I had to focus on my work, be professional,
And never let my feelings show through.

So I kept my distance, tried to be cool,
But deep inside, my heart was aflame,
For Kay, the alluring beauty, who had me fooled,
And made me feel a passion I couldn’t tame.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months,
But Kay was always there, in my thoughts,
I tried to move on, to forget her touch,
But her spell on me, could not be fought.

And then one day, she was gone,
Transferred to another department, far away,
My heart was shattered, my feelings undone,
All I could do was silently pray.

Kay, the alluring beauty, had left my life,
But the memories of her would never fade,
For she had touched my heart, and soul so rife,
And forever in my dreams, she would be engraved.
